Founder

Raised in Rockwall, Texas, Kern began his career at his father's auto repair shop at 14. With 4 successful business exits and 2 startup failures, his diverse background includes roles as a missionary/pastor and a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary. Kern has impacted 20 countries, focusing on community and leadership development across various sectors. His expertise lies in business and capital strategy, development, marketing direction, and organizational leadership. Kern co-founded and manages ForgeWorks Business Development.

MARY KOHL DENLER

President

Hailing from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary's career in startups has seen her rise to leadership heights. Now in Colorado, her love for the outdoors mirrors her passion for leadership. At ForgeWorks, she leverages her vast experience in executive roles and organizational transformation to drive growth, embodying a focus on healthy, constructive progress. Mary's skills cover technology, project management, and marketing, backed by an MBA, PMP, and PCC credentials. As ForgeWorks' President, she champions innovative business development.

CHAD ANDERSON

CFO

Chad grew up in cattle and grain production on a 17,000 acre farm and ranch in North Dakota. After college, he grew a successful technology company and then went on to work with Compassion International for 17 years helping them grow from $28M a year to $640M as a leader of their Enterprise Technology division. The past 10 years, Chad returned to his agricultural roots and founded a successful poultry company in Colorado. He is a Board Member of ForgeWorks Business Development.

HOSS HOSTETLER

Founder/Board Member

Hoss grew up in a Mennonite community on a 500 acre grain/dairy farm where most of the food for his family of 12 was grown on the farm. He started his first business at 16 raising dairy beef calves. At 19, he started a company in Oklahoma with the first contract being fifty-two 9600 square foot hog barns. He grew this business to more than 400 employees in 25 states and several overseas locations. Hoss has founded several other businesses including a poultry company in Colorado that turned into the largest pastured model in the country. Hoss is a Founder and Board Member of ForgeWorks Business Development.

JOHN BRYSON

Business Lead

Born and raised in Harlan, KY, JB bought into his first business, a high end equestrian retail operation, while still in college. His next thirty years included non-profit and business leadership along with earning undergraduate degrees in business, an MBA, a Master Degree from Dallas Seminary, and a DMIN degree in leadership. His passions are around healthy leadership and healthy organizations who in their flourishing, bless others. After a decade in the Dallas area and two decades in Memphis, JB has returned to his hometown to focus on coaching, mentoring, consulting and writing.
